Today, at the Polish Australian Technology and Innovation in Resource and Energy Conference in Sydney, Polskie LNG SA, Poland’s LNG terminal operator and The University of Western Australia (UWA) signed a co-operation Memorandum of Understanding.

Polskie LNG SA CEO, Pawel Jakbowski and UWA Professor Eric May signed the agreement to work together in the LNG industry. Mr Jakubowski said that “innovation in LNG has no boundaries” and he is looking forward to working with the Australian Centre for LNG Futures.

Polskie LNG is interested in conducting industrially-relevant research to improve its operational performance and identify new opportunities for increased revenue and cost reduction. The Australian Centre for LNG Futures (ACLNGF) at UWA is leading a consortium of industry and government partners including Chevron, Shell, Hyundai Heavy Industries and National Energy Resources Australia (NERA) to establish the LNG Futures Facility (LNG FF).
